Cream loads continue to be widely available. Demand is stronger. Cream multiples moved higher this week across all facets of both ranges.




CENTRAL
Here’s what USDA/AMS had to say:
Cream multiples were steady in the Central region this week as volumes are ample in the region. Ice cream makers are increasing their purchasing of cream as they prepare for summer. In Week 21 of last year, Class III cream prices were $6-under to $0.50. Some plant managers in the region say they are full on milk and not taking in additional loads this week. Some butter makers are selling are selling spot volumes of cream to prepare for the holiday.




NORTHEAST
Here’s what USDA/AMS had to say:
Cream for Class III increased this week due to an increased demand from cream cheese producers. Some manufacturers are starting to divert milk from bottling to drying facilities as bottling demand drops. Butter production is steady, but spot sales of cream have increased some. Cream multiple prices did not change this week.
