CREAM MULTIPLES

WEST
Here’s what USDA/AMS had to say:
Cream production is strong. Spot purchasers say volumes are plentiful. Downtime at some Class II and III facilities aided in pushing cream multiples lower this week. Butter makers are running busier production schedules around the New Year’s holiday.

CENTRAL
Here’s what USDA/AMS had to say:
Cream multiples moved lower this week. Milk components remain strong, and cream is plentiful in the region. Contacts report sales to Class II and III processors are limited, and interest from butter makers is light. Butter production is strong, though some downtime was scheduled for the New Year’s holiday this week. Due to this, some plant managers say they are not purchasing spot cream, as they are primarily using volumes from within their network.

NORTHEAST
Here’s what USDA/AMS had to say:
Some butter facilities are operating churns at full capacity to build inventories for 2026. Cream multiples dropped at both ends of the range, with very little spot volume going to Class II or III facilities.
