CREAM MULTIPLES

WEST
Here’s what USDA/AMS had to say:
Cream loads are widely available, and demand is mixed. Cream multiples moved higher at the bottom ends of both ranges. Condensed skim milk availability and demand are steady.

CENTRAL
Here’s what USDA/AMS had to say:
Cream production was lighter this week, but spot volumes remained plentiful. Contacts say winter weather also had a negative impact on cream demand and contributed to lighter churning.

NORTHEAST
Here’s what USDA/AMS had to say:
Within Class IV, several plant closures are resulting in more cream than usual being available, with excess volumes moving to butter churns. Churns continue running at full capacity as seasonal butter inventories build. Cream multiples for Class IV show a slight increase, and cream sold in the Northeast for Class IV trades at a 1.06 multiple.
