Cream volumes continue to be more than sufficient in the region. Demand is somewhat stronger. Cream multiples moved slightly higher for the bottom of both ranges.




CENTRAL
Here’s what USDA/AMS had to say:
Cream volumes are available in the region and some stakeholders say they were offering more loads this week due to the recent holiday weekend. Cream demand continues to strengthen as ice cream makers are pulling on supplies. Butter makers are utilizing available cream volumes to run busy production schedules.




NORTHEAST
Here’s what USDA/AMS had to say:
Cream use is still strong this week. Contacts indicate butter churns are operating at or near capacity. There is an additional pull on cream from ice cream and cream cheese producers. Spot sales for cream increased this week, with a flurry of activity in the Northeast. Cream multiple prices are holding steady, but prices are moving to the higher end of the range.
