CREAM MULTIPLES

WEST
Here’s what USDA/AMS had to say:
Plenty of cream is available throughout the West. Cream demand varies from light to steady. Cream multiples had some upward movement at the bottom end of both ranges. No changes in condensed skim milk demand and availability for week 42 were reported.

CENTRAL
Here’s what USDA/AMS had to say:
Cream is available in the region. Demand for cream from butter makers is softer this week, as some plants have downtime for maintenance. Class II cream demand is increasing though, which some contacts say is contributing to higher cream multiples this week.

NORTHEAST
Here’s what USDA/AMS had to say:
There were no reported sales of cream destined for butter churns, and contacts mention contract loads are sufficient to meet butter demands. Cream for Class II and Class III use is increasing. Cream multiples for Class II increased this week. Condensed skim production decreased for some facilities.
