CREAM MULTIPLES

WEST
Here’s what USDA/AMS had to say:
Contacts mention a surplus of cream in some states, but they are able to move the cream to both Class II and Class IV facilities within the region. Cream multiples moved lower at the bottom of the range and stayed the same at the top.

CENTRAL
Here’s what USDA/AMS had to say:
Cream production is declining as increasing temperatures are negatively impacting milk component levels. Contacts report that Class II processors are securing most of the cream on the market, leaving few loads available to butter makers. Some plant managers are offering additional spot cream volumes, as they prepare for next week’s holiday. Churns are active in the region and butter makers say they are running full schedules to rebuild inventories for the fall.

NORTHEAST
Here’s what USDA/AMS had to say:
Class II cream is available on the spot market, and demand remains active during the ice cream production season, which is expected to peak in July. Cream multiples increased on reported trades.
